During the hard-fought election campaign Shri Karunanidhi had apparently promised not to be vindictive . Karu had gone on record asserting that a "good" government was one which built on the schemes of the old ones and respected teh previous regime.

Cut to after-swearing in. The CM Karunanidhi appoints Syed Munir Hoda , suspended officer, as a secretary on the day the Government took charge. Syed Munir Hoda is charged of acting in a sensitive case without informing the Government.

Surely, The DMK government could not have completed an enquiry and declared him "not guilty " in under a day. Which compels one to ask "Under whose instuctions was the former Home Secretary Syed Munir Hoda acting ?"

Surely, Karu could have been less blatant about the whole show.
